Lockdown: Kano state relaxes lockdown despite increase in COVID-19 cases

Despite the increase in coronavirus in Kano state, it is not still enough reason for the Kano State governor, His Excellency Abdullahi Ganduje to avoid the relaxation of the lockdown order from 6am to 12pm for today Thursday, April 23, to allow residents shop for Ramadan.

This was announced by the deputy governor of Kano state Nasiru Gawuna.

He said;

“In view of preparation for Ramadan period, the state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has relaxed the ongoing lockdown from 6am-12pm on Thursday to enable people to buy necessary foodstuff and items needed for Ramadan period which is expected to commence on Friday,”
