COVID-19: Uniben has extended its Resumption date

Uniben has extended its Resumption date.

Due to the vast spread of coronavirus in Nigeria the University of Benin has prolonged its resumption date.

The University of Benin made this known at the official Facebook page of its Public Relations Officer in a letter sign by the P.R.O, Benedicta Ehanire, PhD.

The letter state that, “In the wake of continue uncertainties regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, and in line with the Federal Ministry of Education that no date has been fixed for the resuming of schools, the management of the UNBEN (University of Benin) has prolonged the reopening by staff and student until further notice.

‘Therefore, it is good to point out that staff on essential duties i.e health workers, security, fire service and utilities ( electricity and water), are to continue to make a necessary sacrifice while observing all the safety rules.

Ehanire, however, advised members of staff to keep working from home.
