Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, has called on the Federal government to relax the coronavirus lockdown and allow everybody to engage in their normal businesses.
According to the group, they said that many are starving and the Federal Government should not case the citizens because of the coronavirus.
This was made known in a statement signed by Ebuta Takon Akor who is the deputy leader of BNYL on Sunday 12 April 2020.
He said there is no reason focus to be on COVID-19 as there have been several sicknesses that has killed dozens of people.
“I feel people are already dying of hunger, and some hospitals are no longer attending to other sick patients, even people are now afraid to go to the hospital for treatment to avoid testing positive.
“It seems they want every State on lockdown to record cases of the virus.
He said the lockdown is madness and should be stopped to allow people to go about their normal businesses.
Ebuta Takon Akor said that since Nigeria is treating the Coronavirus, there was no need to panic or lock down the country.
“But Nigerian hospitals have decided to prove him wrong by discharging COVID-19 patients.
Ebuta also added that Governors, who tested positive had recovered and some recover on their own and he ask why suffering the masses when the cure is available.
