Coronavirus: 91 discharged as Corper tests positive for COVID-19 in Ondo

The Ondo State Government has confirmed one case of coronavirus in the state to be a Corper.

Initially, 20 new cases were confirmed by the Nigerian Center for Disease Control NCDC on Monday in Lagos, Kano, Edo, Ogun and Ondo State.
Confirming the development, the Ondo state Governor, Akeredolu Oluwarotimi Odunayo tweeted out saying the new case is a close contact of one of the state’s index cases.

Ondo state presently has a total number of 3 coronaviruses cases.

However, in a statement issued by Donald Ojogo, the Information and Orientation Commissioner on Monday, the patient is a Medical Doctor.

He said the third case in Ondo is a Youth Corps member assigned to the Army Clinic at the Barracks and he also attended to the first index case while he was under observation.

Currently, Nigeria has 343 cases, 91 discharged and 10 deaths.
