Another terrible loss as the Commissioner for Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation, Taraba state, Hon. Naphtali Kefas has been reported dead.
Hon. Naphtali Kefas died on Thursday, May 7th at the Federal Medical Center in Taraba state capital, Jalingo after a protracted illness.
It has been barely a month since the Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Makus Senlo died in Adamawa state.
Governor Darius Ishaku’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan-Abu confirmed the death of the commissioner in a statement released on Friday, May 8.
It reads in part;
“The death of Kefas has robbed the state of the services of a patriotic and hard-working gentleman
“The late Kefas was a very gentle and compassionate man, the reason why he was posted to the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation to help implement government’s pragmatic program of giving hope and succor to the poor and the needy.”
Before his death, Kefas was flown to Dubai for treatment on several occasions.
